About enterprise

Deli Spices Pty., Ltd.

From our humble beginning in 1980, we have grown into one of the most respected premier spice companies in South Africa. All of this we have achieved under the helm of our founder, and now chairman of the group, Walter Haller. After 31 years in the industry, our family-run business remains dedicated to creativity, quality, food safety and service. We specialise in herbs, spices, blends, sauces, glazes, marinades, breading, soup bases and convenience foods. Our 8000 m2 plant in Epping, in the Western Cape, boasts state-of-the-art equipment, research and development laboratories, training facilities and quality control. This ranks us the 3rd largest spice supplier to the meat processing industry in South Africa. We have a World Class Quality Assurance programme, an HACCP accredited/ISO 22000 implementation programme and are both Kosher and Halaal accredited. Our highly-qualified and experienced staff includes those of quality control managers, who make sure our Quality Assurance meets and even exceeds the most stringent requirements in the industry. This ensures safety, reliability and consistency. Ultimately this means that you can be confident that Deli Spices will always meet your specifications and will surpass your expectations. We believe that your trust in Deli Spices' quality is the most important ingredient in our range of products as we literally go to the ends of the earth to find the finest ingredients. We hand-pick only the best suppliers worldwide, inspect their facilities and take their products through a comprehensive and repeated quality control programme. Every item needs to pass stringent scientific tests before becoming part of our inventory. We test their physical properties, such as granulation, oil content and moisture; and their organoleptic properties, such as smell, taste and texture.
